Questions, answered
Everything you'd ask before the first sample.
Minimums, materials, tooling, lead times and recyclability — the straight answers procurement and operations teams need.
Ordering & samples
Stock items ship by the case with low minimums — often a single pallet. Custom-tooled parts carry a higher first-run minimum to amortize the tool, typically one to three truckloads depending on geometry and material. We'll quote exact figures with your sample.
Always. We send stock samples free, and for custom parts we 3D-print a functional prototype — usually within 48 hours — so you can test fit, fill and stack before any steel is cut.
Stock orders typically ship in 1–2 weeks. New custom programs run roughly 5–8 weeks from approved design to first production, with tooling being the main variable — and our in-house shop keeps that as short as it gets.
Both. Our catalog spans 1,200+ stock SKUs across nine families. When the shelf doesn't have it, our tool shop builds it — and many customers run a blend of stock and custom on the same program.
Custom & tooling
Yes — custom geometry is our specialty. Send a drawing, a 3D file, a competitor sample or a sketch. We model it, simulate stack and seal performance, and prototype before committing to tooling.
You do. Tooling you pay for is yours, documented and maintained on-site at no extra charge for the life of the program. You're never locked in by a mold you can't move.
Functional 3D-printed prototypes typically land within 48 hours of an approved design. First formed articles from production tooling follow once the cavity is cut and proven.
Materials, safety & sustainability
Five food-safe resins: PET and rPET for cold and fresh, PP for hot and microwavable, OPS for high-clarity bakery, and PLA for compostable lines. We'll recommend the right one for your product, process and recyclability goals.
Yes. Every resin we run is certified for direct food contact under FDA 21 CFR, and our plants are BRCGS- and SQF-audited with documented lot traceability on every run.
It depends on the resin. PP containers are microwavable and freezer-safe; PET and rPET are rated for cold and ambient. We'll spec the material to the temperature range your product actually sees.
Our PET and rPET packaging is curbside-recyclable and How2Recycle® labeled, and we offer up to 100% post-consumer recycled content. Compostable PLA is available for programs targeting commercial composting.
We ship nationwide from two U.S. campuses. Vendor-managed inventory and just-in-time scheduling are available for ongoing programs, so your lines stay stocked without you carrying the float.
